THE DECONSTRUCTED FLORAL FORMS SCARVES COLLECTION
The Deconstructed Floral Forms Collection has been inspired by Andean gardens and landscapes. Complex organic abstract patterns based on an exotic flowers fantasy.
Intense tones reflect the vibrancy of the Andes sunlight, combined with the rich contrast of traditional stripes of ancient woven textiles to highlight the natural beauty of the floral forms. With this inspiration, the names given to the scarves are flowers in the Quechua language of the Incas.
The characteristic visual language of VIVIAN’s designs explore in each collection a hand made textile technique. For example, hand woven is the characteristic to be found in the 2011 collection, while croquet is featured as a new element in the 2012 collection. Each collection then contains a series of sub-collections that explore that technique from various viewpoints.
VIVIAN’s collections will be progressively added to reflect an ongoing personal and natural process of evolution.
